National Park Service hosting event honoring Abraham Lincoln

SPRINGFIELD - Old State Capitol State Historic Site and Lincoln Home National Historic Site officials are inviting the public to attend an event that will honor Abraham Lincoln's legacy on May 3.

This event will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Old State Capitol State Historic Site in Springfield.  Officials say this program is the final event of a national program series that was held in major Lincoln funeral cities as closely as possible to the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's funeral.

This program will feature presentations by a National Park Service Park Ranger and Lincoln actor Fritz Klein.  For more information, visit www.nps.gov/liho/learn/historyculture/JourneyHome.htm
