U of I Police Department arrests 2 in connection with armed robbery

URBANA - The University of Illinois Police Department says they have arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery on the school's campus.

Authorities say the robbery happened at about 10:30 p.m. on May 1, when three men approached a man walking near the Lincoln Avenue Residence Hall.  Police say the men demanded the victim's property, and that one of the suspects had a gun.

According to our news partners at the Champaign News-Gazette, two suspects, identified as Davon Hart, 20, and Philip Knee, 28, were arrested in connection with the crime.  A third suspect, described as a black male, about 18 to 22 years old, standing 5'6" tall with a medium build and shoulder-length braided hair, is still sought by police.
