Macon County Health Department launches new Alzheimer's support program
DECATUR - The Macon County Health Department's Starting Point Division has announced the launch of a new program designed to give support to people with dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease, as well as their caregivers.
This new program is called "Memory Café," and will be a twice-monthly gathering for people with memory loss. During these meetings, individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as their caregivers, will be able to interact, laugh, find support, establish friendships, and share concerns without feeling embarrassed or misunderstood.
