DECATUR- Big Brothers Big Sisters honor 7 high school graduates from program.

Hosting a pre graduation ceremony for 7 "littles" of the Big Brother Big Sisters of Macon County, this year was a record for the programs graduation amount.

"Big's" and "Little's" were recognized for their many years of mentor and mentee-ship together and what the  next steps are for the graduates.

Many are set to attend Richland Community College and Millikin in the Fall.

One Little we spoke to Janella Selvy, graduating from Macarthur at the end of May said, "It's important for kids because, if they don't have people around like a positive influence like a Big Sister or Big Brother its hard to get through stuff."

The program is always looking for more volunteers being that there is a wait list for potential littles to be matched.
