Pet alligator seized from Peoria residence

PEORIA - Authorities say an anonymous tips has led to the seizure of a pet alligator from a Peoria residence.

Officials say animal control officers acted on the tip Thursday afternoon.  Upon arriving, officers say Ralph Mohr, 51, voluntarily brought the pet alligator to the truck.

Authorities say Mohr told officers that the alligator had been purchased legally outside of Illinois.  No injuries were reported, and no arrests were made.
