Hidden River Estate In Mahomet Heads For Auction

Mahomet – Tucked away off of a county road in Champaign County sits the Hidden River estate.  Originally listed for sale at nearly $7 million the state will go up for auction this summer.

“The house has 15,000 of livable square feet,” broker Michael Fine told WAND's Doug Wolfe.  “There's  somewhere between 21,000 and 22,000 square feet overall.”

The home has five bedrooms and eight baths.  A closed glass conservatory and sits on 197 fenced in wilderness acres.  The house has geothermal heating using at least 11 wells.

The kitchen floor is stone shipped in from Israel.  “It's called a biblical stone,” Fine stated.  “It was purchased in Israel.  It's reported to be 400 to 600 years old.”

The auction is scheduled for July 22, 2015.  The minimum bid is $850,000.  For more information go to www.fineandcompany.com.
