Hundreds of Artists Share Their Masterpieces

SPRINGFIELD- Artists from across the country gathered to showcase their many masterpieces.

The 54th Old Capitol Art Fair in downtown Springfield brought out artists young and old.

All showing their many talents and passions through their works. Also, artists who may have started their careers later in life shared their story on why never giving up on your passions is pivotal to success.

Don Esser said, “ I started out as a blacksmith 35 years ago, functional, traditional and now this point in my life I'm all about sculpture,”

Esser's work is a unique combination of sculpting and welding stainless steel and silver to create 3d structures.

Among Esser's pieces available more than 150 artists shared their works for the community in Springfield over the weekend.

The Board will meet in the next week to start making plans for the 55th Old Capitol Art Fair next year.
