Local pharmacies raising money for Wounded Warriors Project

DECATUR - Two central Illinois pharmacies are raising money for the fourth annual Warrior Walk fundraiser.

Dale's Southlake Pharmacy and Colee's Corner Drugs will team up with other independent pharmacies across the state to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.  Both pharmacies will work with Doc's Pharmacy, Sartoris Drugs, and Lehan Drugs in this year's fundraiser.

Former State Representative, U.S. Army Veteran, and independent pharmacist Ron Stephens has pledged to walk one mile for every $100 donated to the Wounded Warrior Project through the above five organizations.  Stephens will begin his walk from Dale's Southlake Pharmacy at 10:00 a.m. on May 26.

If you would like to donate for this fundraiser, you may do so at Dale's Southlake Pharmacy and Colee's Corner Drugs.  All monetary donations that are raised will be matched by the Cardinal Health Foundation.

The Wounded Warrior Project aims to provide aid and services to injured service men and women, and to raise public awareness about the needs of injured service members.
