Road temporarily closed after single-vehicle crash

DECATUR - Decatur authorities say a road has been temporarily closed as a result of a single-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say Decatur police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to a report of a truck that struck a pole in the 1100 block of West Wood Street.  WAND's own Eric Steltzer was near the scene of the crash, and reports that a power line was down on the road as a result of the crash.

Police say the driver of the truck was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the incident, and that there are no updates as to the condition of this individual at this time.  The 1100 block of West Wood Street was closed as of 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

This crash is being investigated by the Decatur Police Department.  We will provide updates as they become available.
