QUINCY - Western Illinois authorities say four individuals are facing various charges in connection with the March 28 shooting of a 12-year-old boy.

Authorities say Stefan Crider Jr., 40, Julia Crider, 39, and Stefan Crider III, 24 made their first appearance in Adams County court on Tuesday.  Stefan Crider Jr. and Julia Crider face four charges of conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice, and Stefan Crider III faces five counts of obstruction of justice.  The fourth person, Steson Crider, 20, is awaiting extradition from Arizona, and is being charged with first-degree murder.

The four face charges in connection with the March 28 shooting death of Ray Humphrey Jr.  After the shooting happened, police say Crider Jr. and Julia Crider allegedly helped Stefan Crider III and Steson Crider leave Illinois by giving them a vehicle and money.  Authorities also say Crider III allegedly helped Steson Crider dispose of a gun in Missouri.
