Two arrested after bank robbery

DANVILLE - Two men from Chicago are under arrest after allegedly robbing a bank in Danville.

The call went out shortly before noon Saturday at Central Illinois Bank, located at 2490 N. Vermillion.

Department of Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says the suspect entered the bank, displayed a gun, and demanded money. He fled after being given an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers set up different locations for observation and tracked the individual to the area of Bowman and Myers.

"One of the divisions' K-9 caught the individual and another male was taken into custody from the vehicle," Thomason said.

Pierre H. Theodore, 37, and Victor M. Hurtado, 18, were arrested.

The money taken from the bank was recovered and the investigation is ongoing.
