Sangamon County authorities investigate thefts and reports of criminal damage

CHATHAM - Sangamon County authorities say they are investigating a series of theft and criminal damage incidents that took place during the Celtic Festival in Chatham on May 15 and May 16.

Authorities say the incidents happened during the overnight hours, resulting in several tents and trailers being damaged and thousands of dollars worth of property and merchandise being stolen.  Police say it is likely that more than one person was involved in committing these crimes.
