CICBC inviting residents to give blood at Decatur blood drives

DECATUR - Central Illinois Community Blood Center officials are encouraging Macon County residents to participate in blood drives being held in Decatur on June 10, 11, and 12.

Officials say the blood drives will be held at Decatur Memorial Hospital on June 10 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., at St. Mary's Hospital on June 11 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and at the Macon County Fairgrounds on June 12 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age and weigh more than 110 pounds.  A photo I.D. or CICBC Donor Card is required to donate, and donors who last gave blood on April 17, 2015 will be eligible to give blood at these drives.  For more questions about eligibility, call the Central Illinois Community Blood Center at (800) 747-5401.
