Springfield Park District hosting 54th annual International Carillon Festival

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Park District is hosting the 54th annual International Carillon Festival from June 3 until June 7.

The festival will take place at Washington Park in Springfield, and will feature 11 concerts over five days.  Carillonneurs from countries all over the world, including here in the United States, will be performing.

All concerts will be free of charge, and will take place rain or shine.  Central Illinois residents are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics to the park to enjoy the music.  We have included a list of concert times and locations below:

June 3:
7:00 p.m. - Carlo van Ulft, USA (Centralia, IL) - 6th Festival appearance
7:45 p.m. - Andrée-Anne Doane, (Canada) - 1st Festival appearance

June 4
7:00 p.m. - Andrée-Anne Doane, (Canada) - 1st Festival appearance
7:45 p.m. - Frits Reynaert (The Netherlands) - 4th Festival appearance

June 5:
7:00 p.m. - Joey Brink, USA (Salt Lake City, Utah) - 1st Festival appearance
7:45 p.m. - Jonathan Lehrer, Canada (British Columbia) - 1st Festival appearance
8:30 p.m. - Angela Paul-Pryer and Patrick Knox (advanced students)
9:15 p.m. - Festival Fireworks

June 6:
7:00 p.m. - Jonathan Lehrer, Canada (British Columbia) - 1st Festival appearance

June 7:
