Healthy Communities Partnership offering Safe Ride program during Lincoln festival

LINCOLN - Healthy Communities Partnership officials say its Safe Ride program will be offered to individuals who may have had too much to drink during the Pigs and Swigs Festival on June 5, 6, and 7.

Under the Safe Ride program, individuals who may have had too much alcohol to drink will be able to take a free ride home from any Lincoln establishments serving alcohol by asking a bartender or festival volunteer for a Safe Ride ticket.  The free ride home is provided by Green Cab of Lincoln, and is restricted to within the city's limits.
