Danville officials hosting downtown development workshop

DANVILLE - Danville officials are teaming up with the Environmental Protection Agency and Renaissance Planning to host a "Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities Workshop" on June 18 and 19.

Officials say the workshop will include a community meeting on June 18 at the Danville Public Library, and two work sessions on June 19.  Danville residents are invited to learn more about infill development and to share their ideas during the community meeting.

Officials also say the work sessions will identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities, with participants creating an action plan that aims to attract more development for the downtown Danville area.  For more information about the Building Block program, visit http://www2.epa.gov/smart-growth/building-blocks-sustainable-communities.
