Urbana Public Arts Program Announces Urbana Art Expo

URBANA – The City of Urbana is organizing the first Urbana Art Expo to take place at the Urbana Civic Center. The Urbana Public Arts Program and Commission, in collaboration with 40 North: Champaign County Arts Council, will present the event on September 13, 2015.

This art expo will consist of a juried fine arts exhibition and sale. Visual artists can apply for an opportunity to display and sell their artistic works. The artists or artist groups will be selected by a jury. Only sixteen artists will be selected, and preference is given to applicants working or residing in or near Champaign County.

The Urbana Art Expo will take place at the Urbana Civic Center on 108 East Water Street near downtown Urbana. It will be a one-day event starting at 10 AM and continuing until 5 PM.

Interested artists can find application guidelines and materials at www.urbanaillinois.us/art-expo. The deadline to submit materials is August 7, 2015.
