CHAMPAIGN COUNTY - According to our partners at The News-Gazette, Champaign County authorities have responded to Salt Fork River for a report of a submerged pickup truck.

Our partners at The News-Gazette report that a man, driving a truck, had gone into the river near County Road 2200 E. and 1700 N. just after 4:00 p.m. Monday.  The Cornbelt Fire Department sent a dive team to the scene to help the driver, who was safely rescued from the vehicle just before 5:00 p.m.

We will provide more details as they become available.
