Produce For Kids and County Market Launch Healthy Eating Campaign in All Stores

QUINCY – Produce for Kids and County Market are partnering to launch a Produce for Kids Club on June 10 in all County Market stores.

The campaign focuses on getting local families informed and excited about healthy eating. It will also raise funds for The Salvation Army Food Pantry.

County Market shoppers will be able to sign up for the club by purchasing two or more select produce items. These products will be eligible for sign up through July 12. Shoppers can then log on to and enter the code printed on their receipt.

The Kids Club gives families access to a healthy eating welcome kit along with other online activities for parents and children. Children can play games, and the site offers meal planning guidance for parents.

Stores will feature displays and signage featuring characters from the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. These signs will be posted in the produce section of the store and list all the participating companies in the campaign. The signs feature a link to, which leads to more recipes, campaign details and other healthy tips.

The campaign is also introducing a hashtag #produceforkids to track the campaign's progress. Shoppers are encouraged to share their own recipes and ideas using the hashtag.

President of Produce for Kids John Shuman is proud to be able to partner with County Market to support healthier lifestyles among families. He also highlights the fundraising efforts made by the companies and campaign.

“We are extremely proud of the $5 million we have raised thus far to support local children's charities, and we are excited to introduce a new Produce for Kids Club this year with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Salvation Army Food Pantry,” said Shuman.
