Sixth Judicial Circuit Associate Judge let go from position

URBANA - Members of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois have voted to terminate an associate judge for the first time in 37 years.

According to our partners at the News-Gazette, the decision to terminate Associate Judge Richard Klaus was made by Sixth Circuit Judges, who voted on whether to keep Klaus on for four more years last month.  Officials also say the decision was not in response to any wrongdoing, but rather based on attorneys and members of the public allegedly losing faith in Klaus.

Klaus served on the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois for 10 years.
