Round Up program helps fund agencies that aid Springfield's homeless

SPRINGFIELD - City Water, Light and Power officials are giving its customers the opportunity to help the homeless by rounding up their bills in June.

CWLP officials say their "Round Up" program allows customers to round up their bills to the nearest dollar, with the extra money going toward easing homelessness in Springfield.  Customers who wish to participate are also able to add a specified amount to each monthly bill, or make a one-time contribution to the program.

Officials say the program has distributed more than $75,000 to agencies that benefit the homeless in Springfield.  For more information, or to sign up for the program, visit
