Fire crews to participate in training exercise at Argenta-Oreana High School

Posted: Updated:
ARGENTA - Officials from the Argenta-Oreana Fire Department say they will be conducting training at Argenta-Oreana CUSD #1 High School on June 15.

This exercise is scheduled to begin at about 6:30 p.m.  According to Fire Chief Cory White, crews will be conducting this training as if it were a real call, and as such, officials want to ensure the public that this is only a training exercise.  Additionally, the Macon County Sheriff's Office says that the public should not be alarmed if they see crews participating in this training exercise.

Officials say the exercise will see firefighters enter the building in full gear, as if it were on fire, so that crews will have an idea of what an incident like this would be like if it were to ever happen.
