Macon County EMA to test notification system

Posted: Updated:
MACON COUNTY - Macon County Emergency Management Agency officials say they will conduct a test of the Macon County Emergency Alert Notification System on June 23.

This test is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.  Officials say the test will help determine and evaluate the capabilities of first responders to notify the public during an emergency.  Under the current system, Macon County residents can receive notifications through texts, phone calls, TTY/TTD devices, and email.

Residents also have the ability to choose how they are notified.  If you would like to select certain methods of contact through this system, visit http://www.co.macon.il.us/.
