Springfield police hosting Coffee with a Cop event

Posted: Updated:
SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department is inviting the public to join officers for a "Coffee with a Cop" event on June 24.

Officials say this event will be held at the McDonald's restaurant at Ninth Street and North Grand Avenue, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  During this time, residents will be able to converse with police officers, as well as share any concerns that they may have.

Springfield officials also say Coffee with a Cop provides a relaxed, natural atmosphere for citizens and officers to come together, with no speeches, agendas, or preset subjects.
