Macon County Health Department Offers Classes for Caregivers

DECATUR – The Macon County Health Department's Starting Point Division will begin holding a Powerful Tools class for caregivers on Thursday, July 9.

This class will instruct caregivers on how to take care of themselves as well as their loved ones. They will learn strategies on reducing personal stress, communicating effectively with doctors and practicing self-care. The class is meant to minimize negative impacts of caregiving and identify resources that can help caregivers.

The class will last for six weeks. Each class starts at 1 PM. Classes will be held at the Macon County Health Department in the Main Conference Room, located at 1221 East Condit Street in Decatur.
