Decatur authorities make arrest in connection with narcotics investigation
DECATUR - Decatur police say one man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Authorities say Macon County Sheriff Deputies and the Decatur Police Street Crimes Unit recently executed search warrants on two Decatur homes. Police say officers found five cannabis plants, 37 grams of heroin, narcotics distribution materials and paraphernalia, and $2,576 in cash at one of the homes, located in the 600 block of East Grand Avenue.
Decatur police say Lamontrice Turner, 31, was arrested as a result of the searches. Turner is facing preliminary charges of producing and possessing cannabis plants and possession of heroin with intent to deliver.
