Lincoln Museum Hosts “It’s a Sweet Affair”

SPRINGFIELD – The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will present an event with desserts, music and romance from the 1840s and ‘50s on July 16.

“It's a Sweet Affair” will feature desserts from Secret Recipes, music by the Blackwater String Ensemble and a collection of letters and artifacts connected to the Lincolns. Visitors can also take souvenir pictures in a photo booth.

Fritz Klein and Pam Brown will be present portraying Abe and Mary Lincoln. They are going to be interacting with guests and sharing insights on romance and relationships in Springfield during the Lincolns' time.

This event is being presented in conjunction with the Springfield Art Association and hosted by its curator of collections Erika Holst.
