300 Below, Macon County Animal Control & Care Center hosting ribbon cutting ceremony

Posted: Updated:
DECATUR - Two Decatur-area organizations will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for their newest additions on Parkway Drive on June 25.

Officials say the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, Decatur-Macon County Economic Development Corporation, and Decatur Mayor Mike McElroy will join 300 Below, Inc. and the Macon County Animal Control & Care Center for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served to the public after the ceremony.

The public will also be able to tour both organization's facilities, and officials say the Children's Museum of Illinois will provide activities for kids in attendance.  300 Below will use its new 5,200-square-foot facility as a warehouse, while the Macon County Animal Control & Care Center is expanding its facility to include a new cat addition for the growing animal population.
