Summer Freeze and Decatur Businesses Booming

DECATUR-A cause for celebration, 2 Decatur businesses expanding and bringing more than just a good time during the first Summer Freeze block party.

Macon County Animal Shelter and 300 Below teamed up as both facilities expanded their buildings and invited the community out for a great time.

The Macon County Animal Shelter added  300 square feet for a new cat room which is a need for the shelter as they have over 100 cats.

300 Below the worlds leader in cryogenics, manufactures anything from military steel equipment to liquid nitrogen ice cream.

300 Below International Research Consultant, Prescott Paulin said, "Although Decatur has been presented with some challenges in its past in its media appearances, I think now it could be seen in a really positive light because not only do we have economic development here we also have the whole community coming out and we're celebrating our success as a town."

Summer Freeze hosted food vendors, a bounce house, live music and much more all free to the public and all in honor of the success of Decatur and it's comeback.
