Ameren Illinois donates $5,000 to Oasis Day Center

Posted: Updated:
DECATUR - Heritage Behavioral Health Center officials say they have received a $5,000 donation for the Oasis Day Center from Ameren Illinois.

Officials say the donation will help ensure that the Oasis Day Center will remain open, as it is still uncertain if some of Heritage's programs will face financial cuts or be discontinued due to the 2016 State Budget.  The money was made available through the Ameren Cares program.

The Oasis Day Center aims to combat homelessness in Decatur and Macon County by providing homeless people with a chance to meet basic needs while connecting them with services in the community.
