Malcolm Hill Developing Into Go-To-Guy For Illinois

CHAMPAIGN-- An already big summer for Malcolm Hill got even bigger when he received an invitation to try out for Team USA next week in Colorado Springs.

The Illini junior is one of 22 guys set to compete for a spot on the 12-man roster which will represent USA in the 2015 Pan-American games. Hill was 2nd on the Illini last year in scoring. With the departure of Rayvonte Rice, Hill could develop into the go-to guy next season

"I think that's what really happened with him is he's become more disciplined in everything that he does," Head Coach John Groce said. "I think he values skill work, weight room, nutrition, hydration, all the little things. I've always said the great ones have their quirks, and he gets all those little things right now. Did he get all those two years ago? No."

The Team USA training camp will take place in Colorado Springs from July 7-12. If selected, Hill will play for the team in Toronto from July 21-25.
