IDOT announces lane reduction on U.S. 150

Posted: Updated:

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY - Illinois Department of Transportation officials say road construction projects on U.S. 150 will result in a lane reduction from the Sangamon River in Mahomet to Mattis Avenue in Champaign starting on July 6.

IDOT officials say the lane reduction will be the result of pavement resurfacing, patching, guardrail replacement, pedestrian ramp updates, and culvert repair work being completed.  One lane of traffic will be open during construction.

The estimated completion date for this project is October 1, 2015, weather permitting.  Motorists are asked to slow down and use caution while driving through work zones.
