Posted: Updated:

CHAMPAIGN - Champaign Community Unit School District 4 officials say middle school students are being encouraged to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math as part of the "Mission Possible" summer program.

Officials say this year marks the second year of the pilot STEM summer program.  Participants have the opportunity to engage in exciting lessons that showcase chemistry, geography, astronomy, soil, biology, and other subjects.

Additionally, students will have the chance to learn about computer and videography fundamentals.  Officials also say families can learn more about STEM initiatives at registration and open house events.
