APL Holds Christmas in July Carnival

SPRINGFIELD – The Animal Protective League (APL) is presenting its annual “Christmas in July Carnival” on Saturday, July 11 from 12 to 4 PM.

This event is suited to all-ages with a variety of activities. Attendees will also be able to tour the APL shelter and spay/neuter clinic while learning about the organization’s programs and services. The carnival will also feature a celebrity dunk tank with the following local celebrities: Mike Quimby from Green Hyundai, Jen Sullivan from WICS Channel 20, Kaytie from Styles & Kaytie on WGLZ and Kyle of mornings on Alice at 97.7.

Carnival goers can take part in games, pictures with Santa and other vendors. There will also be door prizes available. Any pets adopted on July 11 will receive a “Christmas Came Early For Me” adoption gift bag.

This event will take place at the organization’s shelter at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the animals in APL’s care.
