DECATUR - The Macon County Conservation District is inviting central Illinois residents to attend its Hummingbird Festival on July 21.

The festival will be held at Rock Springs Conservation Area from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Participants will learn more about hummingbird species and what attracts these birds.  You will also be able to symbolically adopt a hummingbird for $5, receiving the bird's identification number and information in the process.

This event is free and open to the public, but you must register online by July 17.  For more information, or to register, visit http://maconcountyconservation.org/.
