Two Arrested for Multiple Robbery Incidents in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD – Springfield Police report they have arrested two men in connection with robberies that occurred in the Seven Pines / Gaines Mill area.

Officers say they responded to a call at 12:30 AM on Monday, July 6 in the Seven Pines / Gaines Mill area concerning a subject being robbed by two black males. Authorities found a second victim who had also been robbed by two black males upon arrival. Springfield officers then say they received another call from a third subject who reported being robbed by a pair of black males. Descriptions of the suspects matched several other recent robberies reported in the area in June.

Police officers tracked the possible suspects to an address in the 3400 Block of Gaines Mill Road. Upon entry, officers located three suspects, two of which matched the suspects’ descriptions. Detectives interviewed two of the subjects and arrested them for multiple robbery incidents in the Seven Pines / Gaines Mills area.

21-year-old Marshall L. Hodges and 31-year-old Victor B. Carter have been arrested with the following charges: armed robbery, aggravated robbery, unlawful use of a weapon, burglary and theft.

A search of the suspect’s apartment yielded some of the stolen property from the robberies.
