Did you know that on average, kids lose about two months worth of math and reading skills during the summer months? That's according to the U.S. Department of Education.
So how do you continue to teach them and still have a fun summer? Child development expert Bradford Wiles says it's doesn't mean kids have to hit the books all summer, just get them involved.
"Everything that you do on a day-to-day basis has some kind of math and science approach to it. There's some kind of art to it and it's really just up to us to convey that to our kids and engage them", said Wiles.
Cooking together is another great way to have fun and improve your child's math skills.
