Recall issued for 100 pounds of smoked pork products sold in Douglas and Moultrie Counties

SPRINGFIELD - Illinois Department of Agriculture officials say T & L Locker has recalled 100 pounds of uninspected smoked pork products that were sold at an Arthur, Illinois store.

IDOA officials say meat and poultry inspectors determined that the affected products were not produced under mandatory Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point plans.  Officials add that meat products produced without inspection are required to be recalled under state and federal regulation.

The state agriculture department has not received any reports of illness linked to this recall.  The products being recalled were processed by T & L Locker, and are labeled "Processed For Shady Crest Farm Market."  The products were sold between June 6 and June 7 of this year in Douglas and Moultrie Counties, are wrapped in white butcher paper, have the date code "JUN 05 2015" and have the establishment number "229" inside the Illinois Mark of Inspection.  We have included a list of products being recalled below:

- 1.5 pound packages of cured/smoked jowl
- 2 pound packages of bacon
- 2.5 pound packages of smoked ham steaks
