Mercy Gardens to graduate first class

DECATUR -- It's a new program, teaching job skills to people in need. Tonight the first four people graduate from the Mercy Gardens at Decatur's Good Samaritan Inn.

The program is a partnership between the Good Samaritan Inn and Decatur Is Growing Gardeners (DIGG).

Program leaders say the first graduating class includes four people who have worked hard to turn their lives around and learn new skills. Some of today's graduates already have paid apprenticeships, and a second class is already started.

Today's graduation is at 6:00 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Inn, 920 N. Union Street, Decatur. WAND will be there and bring you live reports at 5:00 & 6:00 p.m.
