Urbana Public Works Department announces temporary road closure

Posted: Updated:

URBANA - The Urbana Public Works Department has announced that a portion of Goodwin Avenue will be closed to through traffic starting July 15.

Public Works officials say the closure is a result of pavement patching from an emergency water main repair, and will affect Goodwin Avenue between Oregon Street and Nevada Street.  This closure is expected to last from 7:00 a.m. on July 15 until 7:00 a.m. on July 20, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to slow down and use caution in the work zone.  Officials also say that no detour route will be put in place for this closure.  For more information, call (217) 384-2385.
