SPRINGFIELD - Sangamon County Clerk Don Gray has announced that a new service designed to bring certified vital documents directly to rural county residents will debut on July 16.

Gray says the Vital Records Mobile Unit will make its first stop in Auburn.  The mobile unit will provide vital records, such as certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records, for individuals with a valid state ID.  Regular fees for obtaining these documents will apply.

Gray adds that the mobile unit will be prepared to take all methods of payment, including credit cards.  For more information, visit www.sangamoncountyclerk.com or call (217) 753-6700.
