Former IDHS employee arrested for allegedly stealing more than $300,000

CHICAGO - The Illinois State Police has announced that a former Illinois Department of Human Services employee has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $300,000 from the department.

Authorities say ISP Troopers and Attorney General Agents arrested Debra Moore on July 15.  According to an investigation from the Illinois Office of the Executive Inspector General, Moore allegedly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from the department between March 1, 200 and July 14, 2013.

Moore faces preliminary charges of felony theft and official misconduct.  She is currently being held in custody on $50,000 bond.
