WAND teaming up with CICBC to host blood drive

Posted: Updated:

DECATUR - WAND-TV is teaming up with Central Illinois Community Blood Center to host a community blood drive on July 27.

The blood drive will be held at 904 West South Side Drive from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  In an effort to combat a seasonal decline in blood donation rates, individuals who donate during CICBC blood drives will be entered into a drawing for a 2015 Jeep Patriot SUV.

CICBC officials say they will also host two other blood drives in Decatur on July 28; one at 1610 East Pershing Road from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and the other at 1010 West South Side Drive from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

To make an appointment to donate blood at the WAND-TV blood drive, call Carol Barnes at (217) 424-2500.  For more information about the Central Illinois Community Blood Center, visit www.bloodcenterimpact.org.
