Posted: Updated:

CENTRAL ILLINOIS - The Central Illinois Foodbank has announced that it will bring its mobile pantry to two local communities on July 22.

Officials say they will bring a kids mobile pantry to MacArthur Park Apartments in Springfield.  The pantry will open at 12:00 p.m., and will provide food for Springfield children in need.  Additionally, a mobile pantry will be brought to Taylorville High School the same day.  This pantry will open at 6:00 p.m., and will help feed some of the estimated 4,900 Christian County residents who are food insecure.

The Central Illinois Foodbank was established in 1982, and helps distribute food to approximately 140 food pantries, soup kitchens, residential programs, and after-school programs in 21 counties.  For more information about the Central Illinois Foodbank, visit https://www.centralilfoodbank.org/.
