Parkland Offers New Resource for Managing Student Funds

Posted: Updated:

CHAMPAIGN – Parkland College is introducing a tool to help students and alumni fund their education, manage student loans and build personal finance skills.

This resource is called SALT. It is a free program used to enable college students to “take control of their finances,” according to Director of Parkland Tim Wendt. Parkland is partnering with American Student Assistance to bring the program to its students.

Students will be able to plan and track their loans and repayment options through SALT. The site also provides information about credit, investing and other financial topics. Members can also search for scholarships, internships and jobs.

Parkland students can sign up through this link here. More information about the service can be found in this informational video here.

Students with questions about managing loans should call loan support at 877-523-9473 or email
