Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County dedicating 80th home

Posted: Updated:

URBANA - Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County has announced that it will dedicate its 80th home on July 30.

The dedication ceremony will be held in the 1200 block of Beslin Street in Urbana.  The home will be dedicated to Issa Tembe, his wife Anthonella, and their three children.  Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County Sheila Dodd says this dedication is significant because Tembe's mother helped build one of the first international Habitat homes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 1970s.

Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County have helped 80 families obtain affordable homes since its formation in 1991.  For more information, or to volunteer, visit www.cuhabitat.org
