RANTOUL - The Rantoul Police Department has announced that four individuals have been arrested on gun-related charges.

Authorities say the arrests were a result of an investigation into multiple reports of individuals who were in possession of several firearms.  Rantoul police say search warrants were executed in the 30 block of Terry Drive and the 20 block of Stanley Drive in Fisher at about 6:15 a.m. on July 28.

As Champaign County METRO SWAT Team members arrived to conduct the searches, police say several officers saw a person running from the area, eventually entering the residence in the 20 block of Stanley Drive that was the subject of a search warrant.  Upon retracing the person's steps, officers say they found a loaded handgun in the grass along his flight path.  The individual was later identified as Drayon Parker, 22.

During the searches, Rantoul police officers say they found two unloaded handguns, a loaded magazine for one of the handguns, and multiple rounds of ammunition inside the residence on the 30 block of Terry.  Police also say officers found two airsoft guns fashioned to appear as real guns inside the residence in the 20 block of Stanley Drive.

As a result of the investigation, Rantoul police say four people were arrested.  We've included their names, as well as the preliminary charges they currently face, below:
