Champaign police make arrest in connection with July 13 death
CHAMPAIGN - The Champaign Police Department has announced that one man has been arrested in connection with the July 13 death of Terron Jackson.
Champaign police say they arrested Brandon Collier, 21, at 7:11 p.m. on July 28 after two weeks of investigations. Officers say they also followed up on several leads received during the course of the investigation.
Authorities say Jackson died in connection with an incident in the 300 block of East Hill Street. Police say Collier currently faces a preliminary charge of first degree murder, and is set to be formally charged on Wednesday. Collier is currently being held on $1 million bond.
