Healthy Communities Partnership offering free Safe Rides

Posted: Updated:

LINCOLN - Healthy Communities Partnership is offering free rides home to those who may have had too much to drink at the Logan County Fair.

Officials say the Safe Ride program will be available for fairgoers on August 7 and 8.  In order to receive a free ride home within Lincoln's city limits, you will need to ask the bartender for a Safe Ride ticket.

According to Healthy Communities Partnership Manager Angela Stoltzenburg, the Safe Ride program is designed to help keep people safe while celebrating away from home.  Officials also say they hope the program will help keep others from drinking and driving.
