Law enforcement partnering with Texas Roadhouse to benefit Special Olympics Illinois

Posted: Updated:

ILLINOIS - The men and women who serve and protect our communities daily are partnering with Texas Roadhouse to help raise money for Special Olympics Illinois on July 31.

Local law enforcement officers will serve lunches consisting of a pulled pork sandwich, corn, fresh-baked bread, and a non-alcoholic beverage, at participating Texas Roadhouse locations from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.   Instead of paying for the meal, customers are asked to leave a "tip," which will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois.

Several locations throughout the state are participating in this effort, including restaurants in Decatur and Champaign.  For more information about Special Olympics Illinois, visit http://www.soill.org/.
